2009 Williamston Christmas Parade Registration Form
Christmas Park . . . . . . Month of December
The Christmas Park has been a holiday attraction in the Upstate since 1958 when the Williamston-Pelzer Jaycees first originated the idea as a Christmas parade that stands still. The unique collection of holiday displays and sparkling lights on park buildings draws visitors from all over the upstate and surrounding states to circle slowly along the drive and to walk the paths to view the animated displays. Children are invited to visit with Santa in the Boy Scout Hut.
The Williamston Christmas Park is open during the month of December and the public is invited to attend. There is no admission charge. At right is the Covered Bridge decorated for Christmas.

Deck the Halls . . . . . . Month of December
The long hall of the Municipal Center is filled with decorated Christmas trees each year. Prizes are awarded for the best tree in different categories. Various themes are represented in each tree. Viewing hours are 9:00 am to 8:00 pm daily through the month of December.

Mineral Spring Park . . . . Activities year round
The park offers visitors and residents a place for relaxation and family gatherings. The park grounds include a playground area, picnic shelters, tennis courts, a covered bridge, and an amphitheatre. The mineral spring, around which the town grew, continues to flow, offering a cool, refreshing drink of water. It serves as a reminder of a historic past and a thriving future for the town.
New playground equipment has been added to Brookdale Park.

Spring Water Festival . . . . Fourth Saturday in August
Organized in 1981, the Spring Water Festival continues to grow in quality and recognition as one of the premier festivals in the Upstate. It is known for promoting health and fitness with a Wellness Walk and the Spring Water Run, providing quality entertainment and special children’s activities, an auto show, crafts show, exhibits, delicious food and wonderful souvenirs. Each year, on the fourth Saturday of August, the community joins with thousands of visitors for a day of family fun in the historic Mineral Spring Park. There is no admission charge. Craft vendors are shown at right.
